The exhibits in these tent-shaped houses, designed by György Csete and Jenõ
Dulánszky, are very popular
and show natural treasures and different building methods. The houses were built
by banding the pine wood
according to a technique that is many thousands of years old. As in the ancient
ayurts" (tents) where fire
flamed in the centre these pavilions too are open to the sky. Decorations in the
glass roofs of the lantern
light cupola, the church banners (by Ildikó Csete) and the carved pews
(by wood carver István Nagy of
Mártély) are all inspired by the goldsmithís art from the
time of the conquest. Motifs, amulets and buttons
all date from that era.
